Privacy Policy

This privacy policy describes how the VerdaraX iOS app ("we", "our", "the app") handles information when you use it. Please read it carefully. If you do not agree with anything below, do not use the app.

1. Information We Collect

VerdaraX collects only the information needed to make the app's features work for you. We do not sell or share your data with advertisers.

1.1 Field information you enter

• Field names, crop types, planting dates, acreage, notes, activity log entries
• Field locations and boundary polygons you draw on the map
• Equipment, irrigation, and scouting records you log

This information is stored on your device. We do not upload it to our servers unless you explicitly use a feature that requires it (see §3).

1.2 Location

If you grant the "While Using the App" location permission, the app uses your current location only when you tap "Use Current Location" while adding a field. The app does not track your location in the background.

1.3 Subscription information

If you subscribe to Pro or Premium, Apple processes the transaction. We receive only Apple's anonymous transaction ID and tier (Pro/Premium) — never your name, email, address, or payment details.

1.4 Sign in with Apple

If you choose Sign in with Apple, we receive a stable anonymous user identifier from Apple (a hash that cannot be linked back to you outside this app). This identifier is used only to authenticate your AI Field Advisor requests and is never shared with third parties.

2. Information We Don't Collect

• We do not collect your name, email, phone number, or address.
• We do not track you across apps or websites.
• We do not use third-party analytics, tracking SDKs, or advertising SDKs.
• We do not record or transmit your activity inside the app.

3. Third-Party Services

The app communicates with the following services to deliver its features. Each link is to that service's own privacy policy.

• Apple Weather (WeatherKit) and Open-Meteo — current weather and forecast for the coordinates of your fields. Apple privacy: apple.com/legal/privacy/data/en/weather
• USDA NRCS Soil Data Mart — public domain soil survey data; the app sends your field coordinates and receives soil descriptions.
• USDA NASS QuickStats (via our proxy) — public agricultural statistics. Your device IP touches our Cloudflare Worker but no field-identifying data is transmitted.
• Yahoo Finance — public commodity futures prices.
• AgroMonitoring — if you enter an AgroMonitoring API key, the app sends your field's coordinates and polygon to AgroMonitoring to retrieve NDVI satellite data. Your key and polygons are stored on your device. AgroMonitoring's policy: agromonitoring.com/privacy_policy
• Anthropic Claude (AI Field Advisor, Premium only) — when you use the AI Advisor, your message and a snapshot of the relevant field's data are sent through our backend to Anthropic for the response. Conversations are stored on your device, not on our backend. Anthropic's policy: anthropic.com/legal/privacy
• Apple App Store — handles all subscription transactions. Apple's policy: apple.com/legal/privacy

4. Data Storage and Deletion

App data lives on your device. Removing the app deletes everything we have ever stored about you on the device. Subscription records held by Apple are managed in your Apple ID account settings; cancelling a subscription does not delete data already on your device.

5. Children

VerdaraX is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information to the app, please contact us and we will delete the information.

6. Changes to This Policy

If we change this policy, we will update the "Last updated" date and, for material changes, post a notice in the app on next launch.
